President: Cynthia Taing

Cynthia Taing is a third year counseling student specializing in College and Career counseling. She is currently interning at Berkely City College EOPS/SLAS. Last year Cynthia worked as a Graduate Advisor at San Francisco State Unviersity. She recieved her Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and Human Development from California State University, San Bernardino.

Vice President: Margie Lam

Margie Lam is a third-year MFT/Career student. Last year she was a career counselor intern at the UC Berkeley Career Center.  Margie is interning this year at College of San Mateo Psychological Services and working as the Career Development Coordinator at the California Institute of Integral Studies. She received her BA in Communication Studies from UCLA. Originally from Malaysia, her interest areas are Asian American mental health issues, how career and personal identities are interwoven, and college students’ adjustment and transition issues.

Treasurer: Kimberly Davalos

Kim Davalos is a second year specializing in College and Career Counseling. She is currently the graduate intern for Community College of San Francisco (CCSF) Metro Health Academy program. Kim did her first year placement at the SFSU Undergraduate Advising Center and interned for Metro Health Academy. She received her Bachelor’s of Arts from San Diego Sate University with a major in Psychology and minor in Counseling and Social Change.

Membership Coordinator: Kali Dewald

Kali DeWald is a second-year counseling student specializing in College and Career Counseling, and is currently interning at College of San Mateo’s Career Services Center. Prior to entering the counseling program, she studied Anthropology at San Francisco State University. Kali is passionate about how a person’s culture influences his or her career and educational goals.

Communications Coordinator: Melissa Saulog

Melissa is a second-year counseling student specializing in Career Counseling with a College emphasis. She is currently an intern at the Career Development Center at Stanford University. She received her BA in Communication from Lewis & Clark College.

Historian: Alex Lee

Alexander Lee is a second year counseling student specializing in College and Career counseling. He is currently interning with the Continuing Student Counseling Department at City College of San Francisco. Last year, Alexander interned with the Undergraduate Advising Center at San Francisco State University. He received his Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from University of California, Santa Cruz.

Historian: Cheryl Lau

Cheryl is a third-year counseling student specializing in School Counseling with an emphasis in College Counseling. She is currently interning at Mills High School in Millbrae. Previously, she interned at Presidio Middle School in San Francisco and at UCSF’s Early Academic Outreach Program office. She received her B.A. in Psychology and B.S. in Microbiology from UC Berkeley.

Project Coordinator: Michelle Chang

Michelle Chang is a third year counseling student specializing in School Counseling. She has interned at James Denman Middle School and Cupertino High School. She is currently volunteering at Josie’s Place for Bereaved Youth and Families as well as the Athletic Scholars Advancement Program at Mission High School. Fundraising Chair: Fatima Shah

Fatima Shah is a third year student, specializing in College counseling. Fatima first internship was with the SFSU at the Student Resources Center with the College of Health and Human Services. This year Fatima is interning at Berkeley City College (BCC) with the Extended Opportunity Program and Services (EOPS). She has several years of work experience at community colleges. She is interested in working with specific student population, such as, EOPS, CARE, CalWORKs, TRiO and Students with Disability. She has a BS from University of California, Berkeley in Sociology.

Fundraising Chair: Marisol Banda

Marisol Banda is a third year student specializing in College Counseling. Currently, she is interning at the Social Sciences Resource Center at San Francisco State University and has previously interned as a Graduate Advisor in the Graduate office at SF State. Marisol received her undergraduate degree from the University of California Irvine in Psychology.

Webmaster: Earlvin Rivera

Earlvin Rivera is a third year student with a concentration in Human Resources, and is acting as the CSA leadership team’s Technology Advisor/Webmaster. His background lays primarily in hardware diagnostics and is currently with Apple as an on-site technician.
